Baby K: nursery design

It's nursery time!
We know it's a girl and now it's time to give our little girl her own little space.  I have been working very diligently at clearing out my craft room to make room for baby girl so Brandon can get busy painting.  We've known from the beginning, boy or girl, that we would paint the walls a really light grey with white furniture and all white bedding.  I also had the amazing chance to go to the Land of Nod outlet rug sale and bought three rugs for next to nothing.

8x10 = $50
2 5x8 = $60 ($30 each)

BRAND NEW!

I found this grey cross hatch rug from Land of Nod in both 8x10 and 5x8 plus a 5x8 basic white wool.

So now I just need to figure out the color scheme for the accessories (window treatments, glider, pillows, changing table pad etc.)
So I put some simple boards together.  Tell me what you think.

So many decisions.......

Loving options 2, 4 and 5. 4 and 5 probably being my favorites...you have great taste! I'm sure whatever you end up doing will be a perfect blend of simple meets styled!

Oh my word! I wish I had found those rugs :) Totally looking for something like that for O's room... I goth get to that outlet store someday. :)

My favorite is definitely grey & teal. Second fave is grey, pink, & aqua.

Thanks for your input and kind words. I'm so overwhelmed that everyone's thoughts help.

Thanks! I think those are popular ones.

Thank you, thank you! I wish I could change the nursery several times throughout the first months...haha.

I should have told you about the sale. I think the outlet has been overpriced lately with no selection but maybe you'll get lucky. You just never know with places like that.

I love #4: looks so natural and calm
(and not girlish at all - there'll be enough pink-glitter in her life...)

I want to use yellow/aqua/grey for my future nursery, so that's my favorite! i also like the teal and grey combination. I think they all would look great though. I just don't like 1- something about the fabrics together looks a bit dull/boring.

oh, and just a thought - white sheets might be a bit hard to wash. poop and spit up are going to be part of your new life in a few months ;)

ah, and, if you aren't set on a bumper, i would try to discourage you from using one. apart from the safety concerns, when you take the sheet off to change it, it's really annoying to have to maneuver it around the bumper. we had J's bumper on for 1 week before i decided i didn't want to use it any more. $90 down the drain lol.

Oh my goodness! 3 and 8. Love the classics with the more modern grey.

Oh, and the white bedding...that's what we did with our three kids: very versatile and easy to replace when/if needed. And bleach is a beautiful thing!

Thanks for advice Elizabeth! I definitely am not doing a bumper and I am stocking up on lots of white sheets and lots of bleach. Although, I did register for some grey sheets too just in case it gets to be too hard. I just haven't found any bedding I love so white seems the easiest.

Thanks Brooke! That is very encouraging. Everyone has been dissuading me from white bedding but I figure it is cheap so I can have A LOT on hand and I will just keep bleach on hand. I'm glad it worked for all three of your kids!

2 and 6!!
The dark pink sheets won't show the stains as much. Sometimes bleach is too harsh to use on the baby's laundry. Hope youre stocking up on Dreft or other baby detergent. Unscented all is good too.
Great deals on the cute rugs!!
